Mike Sullivan was hired by New York Rangers

New York Rangers hired Sullivan as an assistant coach last month. Sullivan spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with Tampa Bay Lightning. Sullivan served as coach for the U.S. Men's team at the 2007 World Championships in Russia. He also served as an assistant for the U.S. Men's Olympic Team at the 2006 Olympic Games.

Sullivan began his coaching career in 2002 in American Hockey League, and was hired coach of the Bruins in 2003-04. Sullivan skated in 709 career NHL games in 11 seasons with San Jose Sharks, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins, and Phoenix Coyotes, scoring 54 goals and 82 assists with 203 penalty minutes.
